History

Suka Station opened on 25 June 1921 on what is now Meitetsu's Takehana Line, 6.1 kilometres from the line's terminus at Kasamatsu, in the city of Hashima, Gifu Prefecture. The station has been unstaffed since before 1 November 1948, making it one of the earliest stations on the line to lose its staffing. The Transpass IC system was introduced on 14 December 2007, and on 11 February 2011 the manaca IC card became usable. Today the station has the number TH04 and consists of a single ground-level side platform serving one bi-directional track. The fare gate, automatic ticket machine and adjustment machine are all located near the Shin-Hashima end of the platform.

Notes

Suka was unstaffed at least as far back as 1 November 1948, an unusually early date among Meitetsu Takehana Line stations.
