History
Kōnan Station is on Meitetsu's Inuyama Line in Kōnan, Aichi, 16.2 km from the line's starting point at Biwajima. It opened on 6 August 1912 as Kochino Station, named after the former Kochino-chō administrative unit. The town of Kōnan was incorporated in 1954 by merging three towns and a village, but the station kept its original name for almost three decades before being renamed Kōnan Station on 10 November 1981 to match the city. The station building was rebuilt below grade in October 1974 and its layout changed from opposed side platforms to a single island platform with an eight-car capacity. The station gained Manaca card support on 11 February 2011.

Notes
In 2021 the station's outdoor nameboards were temporarily rebranded "Meitantei Conan Eki" (Detective Conan Station) for the release of the film "Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet," capitalising on the romanisation of Kōnan as KONAN.
