History
Ohiradai Station opened on 1 June 1919 on the Hakone Tozan Line, 9.9 km from Odawara. It uses a head-shunt switchback layout and is the only switchback location on the Tozan line where passengers may board or alight; the line's two other switchbacks are signal stations. The station was made fully unstaffed on 18 March 2023, and on 1 April 2024 operations passed to Odakyu Hakone as part of Odakyu Group restructuring of Hakone services. Tickets are sold only from the platform vending machine.

Notes
Ohiradai is the only public switchback station on the line; the other two reverse moves on the Tozan ascent take place at the unmanned Deyama and Kamiohiradai signal points.
