History

Shirasawa Keikoku Station (白沢渓谷駅) is a guideway-bus stop (停留場) on the Nagoya Guideway Bus Shidami Line (Yutorito Line) in Matsuzaka-chō, Moriyama-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, with station number Y08. The stop opened on 23 March 2001 together with the rest of the line. The Yutorito Line is the only guided-bus line in Japan and is legally treated as a type of railway. Moriyama-ku occupies the northeastern projection of Nagoya, takes its boundaries from the former Moriyama City (merged into Nagoya in 1963), and is bordered by the Yada River to the south and the Shōnai River to the north. The ward has the third-largest population among Nagoya's 16 wards and is the only Nagoya ward without a Nagoya Municipal Subway station.

Notes

The Moriyama-ku article lists Shirasawa Keikoku among the stops on the Yutorito Line's elevated guideway section that runs from the western side of the ward up to its northern Shōnai-River corridor, and notes that the ward contains Mt. Tōgokusan (198 m), the highest natural point in the city of Nagoya.
