History
Futatsu-iri Station opened on 1 February 1942 in what is now the city of Kiyosu, Aichi Prefecture, on the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line operated by Meitetsu. The station lies 72.2 kilometres from the line's starting point at Toyohashi. It has two unnumbered side platforms on passing loops, connected by an underground passage, with automated Manaca turnstiles and ticket machines. The station building was rebuilt in November 1984, and the station became unstaffed from March 2004 onward. The surrounding district includes the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Kiyosu plant and a Meiji chewing-gum factory; fiscal 2013 ridership averaged 2,708 passengers per day.
