History

Aizuki Station opened on November 11, 1955 when the Iida Line was rerouted between Sakuma and Ōzore onto a new alignment, with the station built on the new section. It came under JR Central at the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on April 1, 1987. The station sits in a narrow valley between two tunnels and consists of a single ground-level side platform with a small wooden shelter; it is unattended and managed from Nakabe-Tenryū Station.
