History
Naruko Kita Station opened on 27 March 2011 as part of the Sakura-dōri Line's extension from Nonami to Tokushige. Residents of the surrounding Tempaku Ward had requested the name 'Aioiyama Ryokuchi' (after the local greenbelt), but it was decided that the adjacent Aioiyama Station offered closer access to the Aioiyama Greenway Oasis Forest, and the present name was adopted instead in May 2010. The underground island platform features platform-edge doors and accommodates trains up to six 20-metre cars. The east concourse has only a single fare gate; ticket vending machines are concentrated at the west exit.

Notes
Built into a hillside, Naruko Kita is the only stop on the Sakura-dōri Line's 2011 extension with just one surface elevator — the north side of the station is bordered too closely by forest for a second exit to be built.
