History
Minamihara Station serves the Uchibō Line in Minamibōsō, Chiba Prefecture, 102.2 km from the western terminus at Soga, and is operated by JR East. It opened on 1 June 1921, passed to JR East at the 1987 JNR privatization, and received a new station building completed in January 2003. The at-grade station has two opposing side platforms linked by a footbridge and is operated as a kan'i itaku station by the Minamibōsō municipal authority, with a point-of-sales terminal installed.
