History
Yoshihama Station opened on 5 February 1914 on the privately owned Mikawa Railway. Mikawa Railway was absorbed by Meitetsu on 1 June 1941, and the station building was damaged by the Isewan Typhoon in 1959 and rebuilt in March 1960. Freight handling ended on 25 May 1977, and the freight siding was removed in March 1978 to leave a single island platform. The line was singled here on 21 October 1983 as Mikawa-Line services were thinned out. A new building and Tranpass arrived on 14 September 2005 along with full de-staffing, manaca began on 11 February 2011, and Tranpass closed on 29 February 2012.
