History
Otogawa Station opened on 1 April 1926 on the privately held Aichi Electric Railway. Aichi Electric was absorbed by Meitetsu on 1 August 1935 to become a Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line stop, and the depot was de-staffed by November 1948. Centralised station management and the Tranpass system arrived on 14 December 2005, one limited-express and one express train were each given a special stop here in the 30 June 2007 timetable change, and the station was promoted to a sub-express stop on 27 December 2008. The manaca IC card began on 11 February 2011, and Tranpass closed on 29 February 2012.
