History
Nishiyama-Tennōzan Station opened on 21 December 2013 as the 87th station on the Hankyu network, sited beneath the Kyoto Jūkan Expressway in Nagaokakyō, Kyoto. It was inaugurated together with Hankyu's system-wide station numbering scheme and assigned the code HK-76. The underground station has two side platforms connected by an underpass and was designed to integrate with a new expressway bus stop and adjacent bus terminal that opened the same day. The station serves the Hankyu Kyoto Line between Jūsō and Kyoto-kawaramachi and provides an interchange between local rail services and expressway bus routes serving central Kyoto and Osaka.
