History
Chiyozaki Station opened on 12 January 1916 as the terminus of an Ise Railway extension from Shiroko. On 22 December 1917 the line was further extended to Kusu, making Chiyozaki an intermediate stop. Successive corporate changes brought the station under Ise Electric Railway (1926), Sangū Express Railway (1936), Kansai Express Railway (1941) and finally Kinki Nippon Railway (Kintetsu) on 1 June 1944; under Kansai Express the line was renamed the Nagoya Line. PiTaPa service started on 1 April 2007, and the station was made fully unstaffed on 21 December 2013. Two opposed side platforms serve trains of up to three cars, but the platforms are 6-car-length to accommodate occasional rapid express stops.

Notes
The neighbouring Suzuka University of Medical Science is a venue for the national university common test, and on test days express trains make a special stop here for examinees.
