History

Fuki Station opened on 1 July 1932 as a stop on the Chita Railway. The Chita Railway was absorbed into the Meitetsu group on 1 February 1943, placing the station on the Meitetsu Kōwa Line. The Chita New Line opened on 30 June 1974, making Fuki a junction station; limited expresses began stopping from the same date. The platform effective length was extended to eight cars in 1980. Tranpass service started on 14 March 2007, followed by Manaca on 11 February 2011. After decades of full-day staffing, Fuki was unstaffed throughout the day from 30 September 2023, managed remotely from Chita Hanta Station.

Notes

8-car limited expresses serve only six cars at intermediate stops, so passengers in cars 7 and 8 cannot alight before the terminus; the gangway between cars 6 and 7 is sealed to prevent through-passage to the rear pair.
