History
Gamagōri Station is a railway station in the city of Gamagōri, Aichi Prefecture, jointly operated by JR Central and Meitetsu. It lies 310.6 km from Tokyo along the Tōkaidō Main Line and serves as the eastern terminus of the 17.6 km Meitetsu Gamagōri Line. The JR Central side has two elevated island platforms serving four tracks, while the Meitetsu side is configured separately, and the station building underneath unites the two operations under a single concourse. Through this dual-operator arrangement Gamagōri serves both long-distance Tōkaidō Main Line traffic and local Meitetsu services connecting to Kira-Yoshida and beyond.
