History

Isoyama Station opened on 10 September 1915 as a station on the Ise Railway, located in what is today the city of Suzuka, Mie Prefecture. The line became the Sangu Express Electric Railway's Ise Line on 15 September 1936 and was renamed the Nagoya Line on 7 December 1938. After merging with Osaka Electric Kido (Daiki) on 15 March 1941, the line operated as the Kansai Express Railway's Nagoya Line, before further consolidation with the Nankai Electric Railway on 1 June 1944 created the present-day Kintetsu (Kinki Nippon Railway). The station has two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing, with no staff on duty, and sits 56.0 rail km from the line's terminus at Kintetsu-Nagoya.

Notes

Although the line through Isoyama has been operated by Kintetsu since 1944, the route reached the unification process through five different corporate identities, with operator changes in 1936, 1938, 1941, and 1944.
