History
Kita-Itami Station opened on 1 April 1944 on the Fukuchiyama Line (JR Takarazuka Line) in Itami, Hyōgo Prefecture. With JNR privatisation on 1 April 1987 the station passed to JR West. Station numbering was introduced in March 2018, assigning Kita-Itami the identifier JR-G53. The station consists of a ground-level island platform serving two tracks, connected to the station building by a footbridge. Two depot tracks lie on the west side; last trains to Takarazuka and certain rapid services to Shin-Sanda overnight here. The station has a staffed ticket office. It is located 7.9 kilometers from the line terminus at Amagasaki and 15.6 kilometers from Osaka.
