History
Amagasaki Center Pool-mae Station opened on 14 September 1952 as a temporary stop on the Hanshin Main Line in Amagasaki, primarily to serve the adjacent Amagasaki Boat Race Stadium. On 10 December 1963 the station was made permanent as part of the compensation for abandoning the Hanshin Amagasaki Coast Line during the construction of National Route 43, and a passing siding was added at the same time. The station was rebuilt as an elevated station on 23 January 1994 with the continuous grade-separation project for Amagasaki, and station numbering HS-11 was introduced on 1 April 2014.

Notes
"Center Pool" in the station name refers not to a swimming pool but to the centre course basin of the Amagasaki Boat Race Stadium next door.
