History

Yokozutsumi Station (station number N25) opened on 20 March 1990 with the initial section of the Osaka Municipal Subway Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line between Kyōbashi and Tsurumi-ryokuchi. The line was later extended and renamed the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line. The station sits beneath Yokozutsumi 5-chōme in Tsurumi-ku, Osaka, with a single underground island platform 135 metres long and one ticket gate. Platform screen doors entered service on 4 February 2011. Operation transferred from the Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau to Osaka Metro on 1 April 2018. The Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line's crew base, Tsurumi Norimusho, is located adjacent to the station.

Notes

The station's design theme is the camellia (tsubaki), one of the official ward flowers of Tsurumi-ku; a nearby crew depot means some Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line trains terminate here rather than at the line's nominal endpoint.
