History
Ebie Station opened on 8 March 1997 on the West Japan Railway Company JR Tōzai Line in Fukushima-ku, Osaka, coinciding with the inauguration of through service between Amagasaki and Kyobashi. Built as an underground stop on the new cross-city line, it features a single island platform with two tracks at basement level two. The provisional working name during planning was "Noda-Hanshin," but it was finalised in May 1996 as "Ebie" to distinguish it from the Osaka Loop Line's Noda Station. Station numbering as JR-H46 was introduced in March 2018, and operations were transferred to JR West Transport Service as a contracted station from December 2020.
