History
Higobashi Station is an underground stop on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line in Nishi-ku, Osaka. It opened on 1 October 1965 when the line — then known simply as the Number 3 Line — was extended from Daikokuchō to Nishi-Umeda. The station passed from the Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau to Osaka Metro on 1 April 2018, and platform-edge doors entered service on 22 December 2023. The platforms sit on the second basement level as a single island platform serving two tracks, with separate north and south concourses. The Keihan Nakanoshima Line's Watanabebashi Station is connected through the Nakanoshima underground passage, restored in November 2012 after a closure for the Festival Tower East rebuild.

Notes
Pass-holders for Higobashi can use Yodoyabashi Station on the Midōsuji Line as well, to relieve congestion there — even though no underground passage links the two and the surface walk takes around six minutes.
