History
Fukaebashi Station opened on 29 July 1968 as the eastern terminus of Osaka Municipal Subway Line 4 (the Chūō Line) when the line was extended from Morinomiya. It served as a terminus until 5 April 1985, when the line was extended to Nagata and the station became an intermediate stop. The double crossover at the Midoribashi end that supported turn-back operations was removed in the late 1980s. The station has two side platforms serving two tracks underground with a single ticket gate at the Nagata end. The station passed to Osaka Metro on 1 April 2018 and platform-edge doors entered service on 9 August 2024.
