History
Nagahoribashi Station opened on 6 December 1969 with the Osaka Municipal Subway Sakaisuji Line's inaugural Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome to Dobutsuen-mae section. It became an interchange on 11 December 1996 when the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line (then still the Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line) was extended from Shinsaibashi to Kyobashi. Platform-edge doors entered service on the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi platform on 3 October 2010 and on the Sakaisuji platform on 23 October 2022, and the station passed to Osaka Metro on 1 April 2018. The station sits about a five-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station via the Crysta Nagahori underground arcade.
