History
Matsumushi Station (HN03) is a Hankai Tramway Uemachi Line tram stop in Abeno-ku, Osaka. It opened on 1 October 1910 with the (electrified) Nankai Uemachi Line. Ownership passed to Kinki Nippon Railway in the June 1944 wartime merger, returned to Nankai Electric Railway in June 1947, and was transferred to the current Hankai Tramway in December 1980. The stop has two opposed side platforms with a level crossing nearby on the Tennōji-Ekimae side; the Tennōji-Ekimae-bound platform is long enough for two-car operation. A now-removed manual emergency crossover formerly stood here so that trams could turn back to Abikomichi when the road-shared section north of Matsumushi was blocked.

Notes
In May 2005 a water-main burst near Abeno cut off Uemachi-Line service; trams ran only as far as Matsumushi displaying the destination 'Tennōji-Ekimae', overruled by an A4 paper sign reading 'Matsumushi' that drivers hung in the cab window.
