History

Senoo Station opened on 12 June 1910 with the Uno Line, providing a stop in what is now the Minami ward of Okayama. It was operated by the Japanese National Railways through the 20th century, came under West Japan Railway Company control with the 1987 JNR privatisation, and is now served by both the Uno Line and the directly-connected Seto-Ōhashi Line. The station was rebuilt as an elevated structure in 1991 after a local bus operator funded the work to support a new residential development. Freight handling ended in 1970, and the station became unstaffed in 2021.

Notes

A 1991 station rebuild was funded by a private bus operator developing the nearby residential land and donated to JR West.
