History

Kawachi-Matsubara Station opened on 18 April 1922 on what is now the Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line, in the city of Matsubara, Osaka Prefecture. Located 10.0 rail kilometres from the line’s starting point at Ōsaka Abenobashi, the station serves as Matsubara City’s principal rail gateway and is operated by Kintetsu Railway. It consists of two ground-level island platforms connected by an elevated station building. Elevated pedestrian decks over Prefectural Route 12 link the station with the adjacent Youmenity Matsubara shopping complex and bus terminal to the south.
