History
Fujiidera Station opened on 18 April 1922 when the Osaka Railway extended its line from Domyoji to Nunose. In May 1928 the company opened Fujiidera Stadium on land southwest of the station, and from 1950 the venue was home to the Kintetsu Pearls (later the Kintetsu Buffaloes), drawing crowds large enough that limited express trains made special stops on game days. After mergers in 1943 and 1944 the station passed to Kintetsu's Minami Osaka Line. The current overhead station building, allowing north-south through passage, opened on 28 November 1974, and the stadium hosted its final game on 30 September 2004 before demolition in 2006.

Notes
When the Buffaloes were based here, limited expresses that normally bypass the station made temporary stops on game days, and special trains were added for fans heading to and from Fujiidera Stadium.
