History
Shirasagi Station opened on 25 May 1964 on the Nankai Kōya Line between Nakamozu and Hatsushiba, replacing the temporary Nakamozu-Undōjō-mae stop that had served the area between 1949 and 1958. It was built to serve the newly completed Shirasagi public-housing development next door, and was the first overpass-style station on the Nankai network. Initially configured with a single down-line passing track and a two-island, three-track layout, it received a second passing track on 24 March 1974 to allow faster expresses. Step-free access via lifts was completed in 2009 and station numbering NK60 was introduced on 1 April 2012.
