History
Uenoshiba Station opened on 18 July 1929 on the Hanwa Line in Nishi-ku, Sakai, Osaka Prefecture. With the division and privatisation of the Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, operation passed to the West Japan Railway Company (JR West). Station numbering was introduced in March 2018, and Uenoshiba was assigned the code JR-R31. The station has two opposed side platforms connected by an elevated station building and is staffed.
