History
Komagatani Station opened on 29 March 1929 with the inauguration of the Osaka Railway section between Furuichi and Kumedera (now Kashiharajingū-mae), the present Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line. On 1 February 1943 the Osaka Railway was merged into the Kansai Express Railway, making this its Tennōji-line station. A further wartime merger of the Kansai Express Railway and the Nankai Railway on 1 June 1944 created the Kintetsu Railway, the present operator. The station consists of two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing.
