History

Yagi-nishiguchi Station occupies the original site of Yamato-Yagi Station, which opened on 21 March 1923 on Osaka Electric Tramway's Unebi Line. When the company's new Yagi Line opened in 1929, the main station moved roughly 400 metres north to its present location, but the railway kept the older platforms in service, renaming them Yagi-nishiguchi. The line passed to Kansai Express Railway in 1941 and to Kintetsu Railway in 1944 through wartime mergers. PiTaPa service began on 1 April 2007.

Notes

Although about 400 metres south of Yamato-Yagi Station, Yagi-nishiguchi is treated as part of the same station for fare purposes; no fare is assigned to walking between the two.
