History
Satoshō Station opened on 15 November 1920 on the San'yō Main Line in present-day Satoshō, Asakuchi District, Okayama Prefecture. The station was transferred from Japanese National Railways to JR West with the privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987. The station building stands next to a side platform and is connected to an island platform by a footbridge; the station is unattended.
