History
Kasaoka Station opened on 14 July 1891 on the San'yō Main Line, in present-day Kasaoka, Okayama Prefecture. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987 the station came under the control of JR West. The station has a side platform and an island platform connected by a footbridge; the station building stands beside the side platform and is staffed.
