History
Tondabayashi-nishiguchi Station opened on 12 October 1904 as Gakkōmae Station on Kawaminami Railway, between Tondabayashi and Takidanifudō. The station closed on 31 March 1912 and reopened on 9 January 1917, and the operator was renamed Osaka Railway in March 1919. It took its present name on 1 April 1933, and was closed again from 1 June 1945 to 1 July 1946 in the late wartime period. Mergers in 1943 and 1944 placed the station on Kintetsu Railway's Nagano Line. PiTaPa support began on 1 April 2007.
