History
Hiroshima Station tram stop (M01) is the eastern terminus of the Hiroden Main Line at JR West's Hiroshima Station in Minami-ku, Hiroshima. It opened on 23 November 1912 as Hiroshima-eki-mae Station with the original Hiroden Main Line, was renamed Hon-eki-mae around 1920, restored to Hiroshima-eki-mae on 30 March 1960, and renamed Hiroshima-eki Station on 1 November 2001. Suspended after the 6 August 1945 atomic bombing, it returned to service with the rest of the Main Line on 11 October 1945. On 3 August 2025 it was relocated to the second floor of the new station building 'minamoa', via the new elevated Ekimae-Ōhashi route, and the station number changed from M1 to M01. Hiroden routes 1, 2, 5, and 6 all originate here.

Notes
On 3 August 2025 the tram stop moved from the JR south plaza up onto the second floor of the new minamoa shopping-centre / station-building, reached by a newly-built Ekimae-Ōhashi elevated route — an unusual elevated tram terminal inside a department store.
