History
Funairi-hon-machi opened on 26 December 1943 as the southern terminus of Hiroden's new Eba Line, then running just between Dobashi and Funairi-hon-machi. Six months later, on 20 June 1944, the line was extended a further stop to Funairi-minami-machi (the present Funairi-minami) and Funairi-hon-machi became an intermediate stop. Service was suspended after the 6 August 1945 atomic bombing and the Eba Line resumed service on 1 November 1947. In March 2008 a platform-lengthening project allowed articulated cars to call here, and on 15 February 2013 Route 9 was extended from Hatchobori to Eba, bringing direct service. The two platforms are staggered north-south across the intersection, with the up-platform towards Dobashi to the north and the down-platform towards Eba to the south; both are long enough to handle articulated cars. The stop carries number E02.

Notes
Funairi-hon-machi was the southern terminus of the new Eba Line for less than six months, from 26 December 1943 to 20 June 1944, when the line was extended south to Funairi-minami-machi (today's Funairi-minami stop).
