History
Hirodai Fuzokugakko-mae opened on 27 December 1935 as Koto-gakko-mae ('Higher School Front') with the new Ujina-dori alignment between Miyukibashi-higashizume (the former Senbaikyoku-mae) and Ujina; it took its name from the pre-war Hiroshima Higher School that was then located nearby. The stop was abolished around May 1942 during the Pacific War and reopened around August 1945 as Minami-bunko-mae ('Minami Branch School Front'). Following frequent reorganisations of Hiroshima University, the stop was renamed Hirodai-Kyoyobu-mae ('Hiroshima Univ. Liberal Arts Faculty Front') around 1955, Hirodai-Fuzoku-Koko-mae ('Hiroshima Univ. Affiliated High School Front') with authorisation granted on 28 February 1961, and finally Hirodai Fuzokugakko-mae ('Hiroshima Univ. Affiliated Schools Front') on 10 June 1964. The two platforms sit on a combined-track street alignment, staggered north-south, with the down-side platform towards Hiroshima Port on the south and the up-side towards Kamiya-cho on the north. Platforms are long enough for articulated cars but unusually narrow (around 50 cm), and were upgraded from at-grade boarding zones only in the 1990s. The stop carries number U10.

Notes
Hirodai Fuzokugakko-mae's name has been redrawn five times in eight decades, tracking the post-war merger of the Hiroshima Higher School and the various university branches into the present Hiroshima University Affiliated Schools — but local signage doesn't all agree: the bus stop nearby calls itself Hirodai-Fuzoku-Koko-mae and the road junction is signed Hirodai-Fuzoku-Ko-mae.
