The Mine Line segment was incorporated into the San'in Main Line on 24 February 1933, and freight operations ceased on 1 August 1961. Following the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, operation passed to West Japan Railway Company. The station consists of a single side platform on a remote stretch of the line, serving only local trains and recording an average of seven daily users in fiscal 2020.
