History

Fuseishi Station opened on 28 November 2020 on the Kotoden Kotohira Line in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, as part of a wider plan to consolidate local bus services around a new rail interchange. The station was conceived and led by the Takamatsu Comprehensive Urban Transport Plan Promotion Council, which acted as project sponsor, with station-building works costed at roughly 950 million yen. The south entrance opened on 1 April 2021, and the station plaza opened on 6 November 2021. From that date Kotoden Bus's Rainbow Loop and other local routes began calling at the station, with the Takatoku Express highway bus and JR Shikoku JR Shikoku Bus services adding stops the following year.

Notes

Fuseishi is the second elevated station on the Kotoden network, after Mizuta Station on the Nagao Line; its concourse hosts Kotoden's first LCD departure board, set up at the IruCa card service window.
