History

Kuroimura Station opened on 22 April 1914 as a station on the privately operated Chōshū Railway. The line north of Hatabu was nationalised in 1925, and was renamed the San'in Main Line in 1933. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987 the station passed to the West Japan Railway Company (JR West). It is located in the Toyoura district of Shimonoseki city, Yamaguchi Prefecture, near the city's Toyoura general branch office. The Japanese Wikipedia article was not available in the cached source at drafting time, so no Japanese paragraph is included here.
