History

Iyo-Sangawa Station opened on 1 April 1933 as a new station on the existing Yosan Line, in what is now Shikokuchūō, Ehime Prefecture. Originally operated by Japanese Government Railways and later JNR, the station passed to JR Shikoku at the 1 April 1987 privatisation. The unstaffed halt now consists of two side platforms serving two tracks, with the station building used as a waiting room and platform 2 reached via a footbridge; sidings branch off the running lines on either side. The station sits at 81.7 km from Takamatsu and carries the line number Y24.
