History
Koboke Station opened on 28 November 1935 as Nishiu Station on the Kōchi Line (simultaneously renamed the Dosan Line on that date), and was renamed Koboke on 1 October 1950. Operation passed to JR Shikoku on 1 April 1987 with the privatisation of Japanese National Railways. The unstaffed station consists of two side platforms cut into a hillside above National Route 32. A flight of steps from the road leads up to a small waiting-room building, with a further short rise to one platform and a pedestrian level crossing providing access to the other. A small parking area is provided at the foot of the access steps.
