History
Inami Station opened on 14 December 1930 in what is now the town of Inami in Hidaka District, Wakayama Prefecture. The station lies on the Kisei Main Line (Kinokuni Line) at 309.3 km from the line's terminus at Kameyama and 129.1 km from Shingū. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, operation passed to JR West. The station consists of one side platform and one island platform joined to the building by a footbridge and remains staffed today.
