History
Chikuhō-Nakama Station opened on 21 March 1956 in the city of Nakama, Fukuoka, as the original terminus of an extension by the Chikuhō Electric Railroad (Chikutetsu) from Sadamoto, today's Kumanishi. Two years later, on 29 April 1958, the line was extended westward to Konoha, and Chikuhō-Nakama became a through station rather than a terminal. The site of the original 1956 terminus survives as a depot for maintenance vehicles. The station carries the line number CK13, sits 7.9 km along the line from the Kurosaki terminus, and consists of two opposed side platforms; it is unattended.
