History
Chikuhō-Katsuki Station opened on 29 April 1958 in Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyūshū, on the line then being built by the Chikuhō Electric Railroad (Chikutetsu). The "Chikuhō" prefix in the station name distinguishes it from the now-defunct Katsuki Station that operated on the former Japanese National Railways Katsuki Line. The unstaffed station has two side platforms connected by a level crossing, carries the station number CK15, and stands 10.2 km from the line's terminus at Kurosaki. Departures toward Kurosaki are signalled by an approach melody. The surrounding area is a quiet residential district, slightly separated from the wider Katsuki town center to the south.
