History
Inoshō-mae Station opened on 7 November 1907 as Hazamabashi (挟間橋停留場, also written 狭間橋), the same day Tosa Electric Railway opened the Edagawa–Ino section that finally took the Ino Line through to its western terminus. It was renamed Inoshō-mae in April 1963 when Kōchi Prefectural Ino Commercial High School opened nearby. A waiting room was added on 20 December 1976. The stop passed to Tosaden Kōtsū on 1 October 2014 with the operator merger. A proper platform on the Ino-bound side was added on 1 September 2017 — until then that side had only painted white lines on the parallel road shoulder.

Notes
Inoshō-mae was once well-used by Inoshō High School students, but ridership has dropped since the JR Dosan Line's Edagawa Station opened nearby in 1986 — students now use the JR option to reach the same school.
