History
Okabana Station opened on 20 August 1960 as an additional stop on the existing Dosan Line, then operated by Japanese National Railways. Located in the village of Hidaka, Takaoka District, Kōchi Prefecture, it serves passenger trains running 145.7 kilometres from the line's starting point at Tadotsu. With the dissolution and privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987, the station passed to JR Shikoku, which assigned it station number K10. The facility consists of a single side platform along one track, with no station building — only a weather shelter on the platform — and is reached by a ramp from the access road.
