History
Tosa-Kamo Station opened on 30 March 1924 as part of the then Kōchi Line — later renamed the Dosan Line — when the railway was extended from Susaki to Kusaka by the Ministry of Railways. Located in the town of Sakawa in Kōchi Prefecture's Takaoka District, the station became unstaffed in 1970 with the discontinuation of baggage handling and the introduction of simple consignment operation. Control passed to JR Shikoku at the privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987, and the station was assigned the number K11. The current facility is a small wooden building with a curved roof and consists of two opposed side platforms serving two tracks.
