History

Suetachibana Station opened on 13 March 1999 as a stop on the Matsuura Railway Nishi-Kyūshū Line in the city of Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture. The line, originally a JR West section, had been transferred to the third-sector Matsuura Railway in 1988. The station consists of a single side platform on a hillside up a slope from National Route 204, with no station building but a waiting room. It is unstaffed and is located between Nishi-Tabira and Emukae-Shikamachi stops, at 58.2 km from Arita.
