History
Tokumasu Station opened on 1 September 1938 in what is now the city of Yanagawa, Fukuoka, on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Ōmuta Line. The operating company merged with the Kyushu Electric Tramway on 19 September 1942 and renamed itself Nishi-Nippon Railway three days later, on 22 September 1942 — the operator that retains the line today. Station numbering, introduced in February 2017, designates the stop T40. The station is built around a single bi-directional side platform with no station building, only a shelter; it has long been unstaffed. A 60-kilometre post marking the distance from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station stands on the platform.

Notes
The platform marks the 60-kilometre point from the line's Tenjin terminus.
