History

JR Kyushu opened Huis Ten Bosch Station on 10 March 1992 ahead of the namesake Dutch-themed park's launch later that month. The station serves the Ōmura Line 4.7 km from its starting point at Haiki, and to accommodate the limited express Huis Ten Bosch service from Hakata the Haiki - Huis Ten Bosch segment was electrified at the same time. The single island platform is housed in a brick-faced bridge-over building styled to harmonise with the theme park, and was given a colour refresh on 17 July 2010. Direct JR Kyushu management replaced an outsourced operation on 1 October 2023. SUGOCA IC card readers came online between Haiki and Huis Ten Bosch on 3 October 2024.

Notes

Huis Ten Bosch was the fourth katakana-only station name to appear on the JNR/JR network.
